I have enjoyed a lengthy career involved with tamarisk management and site restoration to native plant communities, in both private practice and while federally employed with NRCS and BOR. Biocontrol is an increasingly important and effective tool in integrated management of this invasive species. I hope to remain involved in this tool’s continued expansion of potential for suppression of tamarisk, particularly in relation to my core expertise – revegetation science and restoration of infested communities to healthy native ecosystems over time.
